Full Renovation Designed for the Japanese Lifestyle

concept

Interior StylingRenovation

When a family purchased a four-bedroom condominium in Singapore, they envisioned a home that would be both a warm foundation for their young children and a reflection of their Japanese heritage.

The original interiors were classic and fully wallpapered. We softened the overall feel with gentle tones and a layout that supports daily life.

The living–dining space, framed by exposed beams and windows on three sides, became a bright centerpiece. Rather than hiding the beams, we incorporated them as part of the design. Even the air conditioning units were seamlessly built into custom cabinetry for a clean finish.

Practicality was key: the bathroom now features a Japanese-style bathtub with a washing area, the toilet is equipped with a washlet, and the kitchen layout prioritizes efficiency and ease.

For the children’s room, we introduced tatami mats — grounding the space in Japanese tradition while creating a safe, open play area. In the master bedroom, an entire wall was converted into open storage with curtains replacing doors, allowing easy access and visibility.

Working closely with a local Singaporean contractor, we ensured every detail reflected Japanese lifestyle preferences. The result is a home where comfort, culture, and thoughtful design come together seamlessly.
