Personalizing a Rental with Custom Furniture

Even in a rental, your home can reflect exactly who you are. Using the client’s existing sofa and dining table from Japan, we layered in new pieces and custom-built furniture to create a space that is functional, beautiful, and uniquely theirs.

A tailor-made TV wall and shoe closet were designed to protect the flooring while maximizing storage. Every detail—from the size to the color, shape, and layout—was customized, proving that bespoke furniture works wonders even without ownership of the property.

Lighting transformed the atmosphere: three pendant lights, a floor lamp, a table lamp, and integrated linear lighting all complement the existing downlights. The effect is warm, layered, and impossible to replicate without design-driven choices.

And when it’s time to move, The custom TV board is ready to come along to the next home.

Rental or not, great design can be as lasting as it is personal. *Pendant lights can be installed in rental properties too (depending on the landlord’s rules), so we highly recommend experiencing the depth and richness that thoughtful lighting brings.
