Breeze from Southern France in a Singapore Home

For a family who has spent many years in Singapore, comfort and character were essential when refreshing their home. Their wish? An interior that captures the relaxed elegance and airy charm of Southern France.

In the living–dining area, we began by removing the built-in bench and sofa left behind by the previous owner, which had been worn out over time. The generous wall mirror — a feature that beautifully opened up the space — was kept, but we introduced a panel of wallpaper beneath it for a subtle yet distinctive accent.

We updated the seating with a fresh sofa and dining chairs, retaining the original dining table, and replaced the lighting to complement the new pieces. The atmosphere shifted instantly — brighter, fresher, and far more inviting.

On a wall where mismatched wood grains once competed, we applied decorative panels to create harmony. Even the entrance door received a striking makeover, turning the simple moment of coming home into a daily delight.

In the bedroom, a poorly designed wardrobe was transformed with a foldaway bed and desk, ensuring the space remains functional even when the children move into their own rooms.
